ART ON THE MIND TALK AND ART EXHIBITION

A part of Deptford X Art on the mind is an immersive visual experience, it takes the viewer on a visual journey, exploring the depths of their own imagination.Using art as a visual stimuli, the talk and interactive experience, showcases how we use perception to make sense of abstract art, but also in everday decision-making. The Art of Perception Ted X talk given by Shahina Jaffer navigates the audience through a visual journey based on Degas’ idea that art “is not what you see, but what you make others see. Vistors will learn how art is a powerful tool to evoke emotions and ignite imagination. The talk will be followed by the opportunity to explore artwork with the makers. Visitor's are encouraged to listen to music whilst travelling through the art exhibition. By incorporating instrumental music the artists hope to create optimal state of mind to help the artworks open up to many people. in a personal way.
