Art tour by Andrew Spira at V&A

Saturday, the 24th of March 13:00 - 15:30

It was a popular style in the 17th and 18th centuries, it began in Italy and quickly spread to the rest of Europe. A profusion of plant life characterises the Baroque style. Scrolling foliage and garlands of flowers decorate many objects.

These Baroque creations, with their seemingly endless sequences of dazzling rooms and vast formal gardens, have established for us what a palace should be.
