This Doing Day workshop extends the research informing Siobhan Davies Dance’s work for galleries, material / rearranged / to / be. Participants will experience and experiment with the connection between body and brain, and explore how impulses to move arise and how embodied feeling is affected by perceiving the movement of other bodies. Members of the public will be invited to participate in activities designed by dance artists Siobhan Davies, Helka Kaski and Matthias Sperling in dialogue with Manos Tsakiris, Professor of Neuroscience at the Warburg Institute and his colleagues at the BIAS (Body & Image in Arts & Science) Project, housed at the Warburg Institute.
