Dwelling - Why and How? goes behind the scenes of the Fitzrovia Chapel's autumn exhibition, Dwelling. Chapel Artistic Director, Faye Hughes, and Programme Coordinator, Kate Thorogood, talk through the curation, the artistic choices, the exploration of beauty in a domestic setting which went towards the November show at the chapel. It is a free talk and everyone is welcome to attend and view the exhibiton at the same time. There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the development of the exhibition.  

About Faye and Kate   

Faye is an artist, writer and director, telling tales on stage, screen, wireless and in print. As a playwright, her work has been performed in London's West End, regional theatres across the UK and at the Edinburgh Festival.  As a scriptwriter, she has been commissioned to write for Out Tv, Shavick Entertainment, Bell Télé, and her work has been broadcast across Canada, Australia, The Netherlands and online. She has had screenings by CINEPLEX ODEON and the Vancouver Film Festival. On radio, her pieces have been broadcast byWireless Theatre, Globecast, BBC and Insight Radio. 

Kate is the programme coordinator at the Fitzrovia Chapel and is also an actor.  

About Dwelling  DWELLING: an exhibition of beauty and attachment in Fitzrovia residencies (14 to 28 November) 

Dwelling - Why and How? is part of the Fitzrovia Chapel’s second free autumn exhibition, Dwelling. The show, which explores the design choices, style and perceptions of beauty in dwellings across Fitzrovia, will include pieces and contributions from television presenter, writer and comedian Griff Rhys Jones, TED speaker and ritual maker Tiu de Haan and art critic Tabish Khan. It will also include art and images from hotels, homes and hidden parts of the area.

Dwelling is open Wednesday 14 to 28 November 2018, 11:00 to 16:00
