With the update of Covid-19 government guidelines requiring the wearing of face coverings on public transport, knowing how to make your own reusable personal protective kit is a handy skill to have at your fingertips. In this online workshop led by Turf studio member Daisy Young, learn how to make your own simple hand-sewn cloth face mask with filter pocket. And make it fashun!
We'll include bonus instructions for how to dye your own fabric. Sign up by Monday 13th July to be sent a pack of materials you will need for the workshop, along with instructions for dying your fabric at home in advance of the session for those who fancy an extra challenge.
Groundwerk is a monthly series of free practical workshops for artists and creatives wishing to gain the skills to support their practice. This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is necessary, as spaces are limited. It will take place online via Zoom. Once you have booked, you will be sent the link to join the workshop closer to the time.
