From Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July 2017, Hackney Wick & Fish Island, "London's creative square mile", just a stone’s throw from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park invites art lovers to 20+ creative spaces.
Dance, music, art installations, live art, cafes, markets, evening fringe events, photography will be available, and artworks from renowned international names to exciting new grassroots artists are for sale.
Anna Maloney and Patron Gavin Turk have joined forces with the artist community to co-curate a Hackney Wick group show INSIDE OUT, which explores in part the threat to Gavin Turk’s own studio space and practice due to changes in the area.
The show launches the weekend at the Here East canal side space RSVP here quickly for the Private View, before space runs out!
Anna Maloney, Managing Director of Hackney WickED Community Interest Company, said:
“This exceptional event is a rare glimpse into the cultural heart of London, inviting everyone to come and explore the area, celebrate work from London’s most talented artist base in this unique community.
"With the rapidly changing environment of Hackney Wick, cranes towering overhead and building work on every block, now more than ever is there a need for Londoners to join forces to support the artists of the future, while enjoying an exciting weekend programme that encompasses all art forms. We want to bring people together in appreciation of art and space under the umbrella of Summer of Love”
