KV Duong: Live Body Painting Performance / Private View

To celebrate the opening of his first London solo exhibition, Canadian artist KV Duong will create a live body painting performance on Tuesday 23 October, taking over the stage of Streatham Space Project. Like most of his paintings, the 10 minute show will have a strong narrative of liberation from personal inner struggle and search for identity.

The private view will start at 6.30pm with the performance at 7.30pm.

The exhibition, which runs until 27 November, will include large paintings on canvas from his 2018 series “Identity” as well as new smaller works on paper.

KV’s current body of work focuses on the merger of Chinese ink on mulberry paper with acrylic on canvas. He is exploring the Chinese oracle writing and calligraphy, constructing and deconstructing the characters into abstract forms.
