Mick Kirkbride NEAC: Drawing the Nude

Workshop Description

This intense one day workshop will use the nude figure to explore edges, spaces, and the relationship between those spaces. Movement, light and composition will also be under investigation.

This experience is suitable for all levels, but will adopt a flexible approach to handling media, challenging habitual mannerist solutions to representing the figure.

• Required Materials
• A1 or A2 cartridge paper
• Newsprint
• A range of pencils (HB, 2B, 4B)
• Willow Charcoal
• Compressed Charcoal
• Charcoal
• Pencils
• Putty rubber
• Masking tape
