Event Details

A ̶C̶a̶s̶u̶a̶l̶ Reconstruction is a collaboration between two Québecois friends – visual artist Nadia Myre and theatre artist Johanna Nutter. Both have questions about ancestry; blood mysteries. Together, they explore the uncomfortable feelings around being native and/or non-native. With the help of diverse Londoners – the avatars of the audience – they reconstruct a recorded conversation between six culturally-mixed Canadians about the challenges of identifying as Aboriginal.

15 & 16 June at Rich Mix London.

Performed as part of ORIGINS Festival of First Nations Arts, celebrating the world Indigenous artists and activist between 11 - 23 June 2019 across some of London's most significant cultural institutions.
