'Polychromatic Linear Motility'

13th Aug - 29th September 2019

A discovery of Abstraction, Colour Interplay, Stillness and movement through the use of Paper on canvas.

Plain, textured and polychromatic paperstrips are architecturally wrapped and manipulated on the surface of canvas to create linear, weaving and kaleidoscopic movements exploring colour, space and linearity through an abstract composition. Paper represents people, man-made forms, environments and the natural spaces the carnival travels through. The polychromatic and block colours represents the human and environmental emotions expressed and seen during Carnival. Dee transforms a blank canvas to a vibrant melee of abstraction, colour, texture, stillness and movement through the media of paper and acrylics.

The resulting abstract work allows the viewer to have their own personal engagement.
