narrative projects will be hosting an artist talk facilitated by Dr Alison Green, in which Rachel Lowe and Gavin Wade will be discussing the dynamics of collaboration between artists and curators, and the complexities entailed in this relationship.
How can these complexities support, intercept or redefine the process of creativity?
Within these frameworks, Rachel and Gavin will interrogate the roles that daily archiving and architecture in the service of art play in their practices.
Dr Alison Green is an art historian, critic and curator with twin interests in contemporary art and the legacies of Modernism.
Rachel Lowe is an artist and lecturer, whose work set out to disrupt our perception of ‘depicted’ time through collages and time-based media.
Gavin Wade is an artist, curator and director of Eastside Projects in Birmingham, whose sculptures attempt to visually and cognitively transform their surroundings.
