In this workshop we will create a costume or wearable object that could be used as part of a personal ritual. We will experiment with our intuition, instinct and improvisation, designing while making. The actual process of making is already a ritual process, where we focus our intentions and energy on a particular desire.
Our clothes are our home because our bodies inhabit them. We want to feel happy, safe and comfortable in our house, and for this reason we will materialize that idea and sense of protection through spontaneous clothing making.
We will also be talking about what we consider home and what makes us feel protected. There will be some writing, some music and some clothing collage making. All welcome!
Some materials will be provided, but please bring those you would like to work with as well. Any choice is valid: fabrics, unwanted clothes, plastics, paper, cardboard, etc.
Please wear comfy clothes!
This event is part of Common Room, a School of The Damned Rooster Residency.
