Artichoke CEO and Artistic Director of Lumiere London, Helen Marriage, joins us at The Exhibitionist Hotel to talk about 'Cities on the Edge'. The talk will focus on cultural disruption and how to work in public space.

Lumiere has dazzled millions of people across London during the four years of the festival held biennially in winter.

Additionally, Artichoke has just been appointed to deliver the creative programming for Galway 2020, European Capital of Culture. The programme for the year will see innovative and inspiring events taking place throughout the county.

London-based Artichoke will also support the delivery of a fundraising drive as part of Galway 2020’s Partnership programme and provide strategic consultancy. For further details about opportunities to get involved please contact Development Director, Sarah Coop, at

There is an existing programme, largely devised from events in the bid book from when Galway competed for the European Capital of Culture 2020, and as Ms Marriage commented, "Artichoke's role is to help enable things in the programme to take place, and to add other strands, including the opening and closing ceremonies."
