Event Details

Exhibition of over 70 paintings and sculptures by renowned artist Todd Garner.

Todd's Art Deco paintings follow in the tradition of Edward Hopper and contain much architectural and figurative work.

Todd Garner's work has been described as retro romantic realism, harking back to a time of the 30's American detective novel. That doesn't do justice to his remarkable attention to detail in representing the beautiful art deco scenes which pervade his work.

Todd's detailed acrylic paintings follow in the tradition of Edward Hopper, not that Todd's work parodies but rather continues the tradition of the atmospheric quality of cine noir in both the portrayal of the interiors and characters.

The Art Deco style is a particular love of Todd's and is shown in his many architectural pieces and has become a central part of his life, even to the extent of marrying his wife Angela on the Queen Mary. Angela appears in many of his paintings.Todd Garner has exhibited widely and this solo show in London will feature over 70 paintings and sculptures.
